The Handmade Road Bike That’s Ready to RollThe Handmade Road Bike That’s Ready to Roll

Stinner Frameworks just flipped the script on handmade bikes. They’re rolling out “Stinner Select” with the Carrizo, an all-road beast ready to rip in days, not months. These cats have been welding steel and titanium in Cali for over a decade, cranking out more bikes than almost anyone in the States.

Stinner’s been killing it, and now they’re in a sweet spot. They’ve got their custom shop humming, but they’ve also set up a production line for these Select rides. The Carrizo’s gonna be in stock year-round, no kidding. It’s Stinner’s best stuff, without the wait or the headache of going full custom. Same badass team, same Santa Barbara workshop, but now you can snag one online or at certain shops worldwide.

The Carrizo “Select” is pure Stinner magic. Columbus Zona steel, hand-welded and powder-coated right there in Santa Barbara. They’ve slapped on a SRAM Apex AXS 12-speed drivetrain, ’cause why the hell not? This thing’ll take 40mm tires, so you can hit the pavement or get dirty off-road. Fender mounts and room for three water bottles make it a workhorse for any season. Easton cockpit, DT Swiss wheels – it’s all top-shelf stuff. And they’ve used common standards throughout, so you won’t be screwed when it comes to maintenance.

The Nitty-Gritty:

  • Six sizes (50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60)
  • Born and bred in Santa Barbara, CA
  • Colors: Mint and Desert (powder-coated to take a beating)
  • Frame: Columbus Zona Steel Tubing
  • SRAM Apex AXS 12 Speed Build
  • Tire Clearance: 40mm (go big or go home)
  • Easton Cockpit / DT Swiss Wheels
  • Three bottle cages and fender mounts (because hydration and dry asses matter)
  • Damage: $1,695 (frameset) $3,895 (complete)

Look, if you’re into bikes that can handle whatever you throw at ’em, the Carrizo’s worth a hard look. Stinner’s not messing around with this one. It’s handmade quality without the wait, ready to roll right out of the gate. Whether you’re grinding gravel or crushing tarmac, this bike’s got your back. So yeah, maybe it’s time to add another steed to the stable. Just saying. For more info check out stinnerframeworks.com
