It is small, it is mighty, and it is simple. The FinalPress Coffee, cold brew, and tea maker delivers that little bit of joy when your normal format of good coffee is not readily available. To be honest, I do not look at this as a tea maker, nor a cold brew. I like tea, but a little tea bag usually delivers quite the punch with some hot water. The cold brew angle could certainly be a good one for someone. I’ve just never taken to it in this coffee crazed specialty coffee world that will simply ruin a good cup O’ Joe. With that said, my favorite and purest way to make a coffee is in the form of a French Press. Hence, this little FinalPress is something I welcome with open arms.

All the parts and pieces of the Finalpress. It includes an extra spring, a rubber cover for the care, and a lid for a jar to make iced coffee.

The nitty gritty of the press plunger shows how it all goes together. There looks to be some fine detailed engineering at play here, and all of it is way sturdier than I would have imagined.

The basket or filter or strainer has such a fine mesh integrated into a honeycomb pattern. Because of that design, it is also quite indestructible.
The FinalPress In Action
To be honest, I had hoped my FinalPress had arrived before we took a two week trip to Scandinavia this summer. The flights, train rides, ferry tours, and early mornings could have been perfect for my caffeine needs. Neither here nor there, I will be employing FinalPress for all my future travel needs. Plus, my outdoor adventures and expeditions including camping, trail running expeditions, bike explorations, and mountain climbing which will provide a perfect opportunity to use this coffee device.
First of all, add 2-3 tablespoons of your favorite coffee. The grinds don’t need to be overly large as with a traditional French Press. Get some really hot water, and stick it in your cup. Quite simple really. As it sits for a few minutes, the coffee will start to flavor the water.
The next step is to simply push the plunger down once or twice depending on coffee strength preference. Voila, ready to drink. On occasion, I add a tiny little bit of pure maple syrup for flavoring, but you do you.
Adventure does await…. A finished cup of coffee, and I’m off to my adventures. Notice, that there is a little remnant of tiny coffee grinds left at the end. With that said, for this cup I went a little too fine, but it all settled at the bottom, so not too worry.
Final Thoughts On The FinalPress Coffee Traveler
The FinalPress Portable coffee maker is lightweight, efficient, and convenient. Having the ability to make a cup of coffee on the go or in remote places makes me happy. Thus, I have plenty more ideas for places, events, and occasions I’ll use this, so stay tuned. You may have some marvelous ideas yourself. I’d say give it a try. My budget minded self sees the return of investment in about a dozen brews, which is excellent. For more details and purchase, check it out at finalpressco.com or amazon.com.
